Larceny in No. 134 lands the Giants a B-, Phillips and all.

Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Jordan Phillips got past him. The Giants do not have to explain a thing at the 134th overall pick. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

The safety hole is the one line item this class does not answer. They are betting Porter proves the room right and everyone else wrong. The roster is better shaped than it was, with interior defensive lineman chief among the fixes.

The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but safety.

Pick Analysis
Pick3 Rnd1 Abdul Carter
In the 3rd pick they get a double-digit-sack hope. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick34 Rnd2 Jaxson Dart
Jaxson Dart in slot 34 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick65 Rnd3 Darien Porter
A reach on Darien Porter in pick No. 65; the board had better options right there. It fills a real need, too.
Pick104 Rnd4 Barrett Carter
Barrett Carter at pick 104 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick134 Rnd4 Jordan Phillips
Jordan Phillips in the 134th overall pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick155 Rnd5 Kurtis Rourke
A quarterback of that caliber at Round 5, Pick 16 is the definition of value, full stop. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
