Edwards should have been long gone. The Bears pounced, and earned a B+.

This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Donovan Edwards, the No. 188 name on the board, stolen at the 242nd overall pick. Call it a sensible B+, earned the boring way.

The phones were where this weekend was really won. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. The veteran additions, Myles Garrett chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.

The cost of the Skattebo reach is exactly the players who went right after him.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
