Call it belief, call it a gut call, but Brennan Jackson at pick 128 is 27 spots clear of consensus, and that is the headline. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. Sweat at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same.

Linebacker was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
