When a board-topper like Abdul Carter slides to the 50th overall pick, you do not overthink it, and the Bengals did not. More right than wrong, and a B to match.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. If Johnson pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
