You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Bears did exactly that with Trey Wedig in pick 226. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

The Watts pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. They punted on linebacker, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

On the needs board they went 6 of 8, with edge rusher the one that mattered most.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
