The Bears let Fitzgerald fall into their laps, and walked away with a A.

Call it larceny. Ryan Fitzgerald sat on the board until the 240th overall pick, and the Bears did not need to be asked twice.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. The veteran additions, Trey Hendrickson chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.

They left with interior defensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

It is a haul that will look even better come September.
