The tape said wait; the Patriots did not. Jasheen Davis went at the Round 7 slot, a good 139 picks before the board was ready.

They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain.

On value alone, Jackson makes the weekend a net positive. The Patriots clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.
