The rest of the league had time to spare on Cam Jackson; the 49ers did not wait, grabbing him 71 spots ahead at the Round 5 slot.

Landing Bryant that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The future picks help the war chest more than the win-now roster.

They gave back a little on the phones for the right to move.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
