The Bears let Skattebo fall into their laps, and walked away with a B.

The Bears spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Cam Skattebo, the No. 105 name on the board, in slot 235. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.

That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The cost of the Bond reach is exactly the players who went right after him. Interior defensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.

TreVeyon Henderson slipping to pick 72 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
