There is conviction, and then there is this. The Packers took Savion Williams a full 104 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend.

On value alone, Paul Jr. makes the weekend a net positive. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.
