The Chiefs let Marshall Jr. fall into their laps, and walked away with a B-.

When a board-topper like Jason Marshall Jr. slides to No. 163, you do not overthink it, and the Chiefs did not. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

They will need Nelson to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
