The Bears fleeced the room on the phones and earned a A-. You can hear the double-takes from here. The Bears took Steven Parker at pick No. 242, roughly 137 spots before his name belonged.
They banked enough surplus on Nelson to cover a lot of smaller sins. They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast.
That cornerback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
