The Giants spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Cooper Beebe, the No. 76 name on the board, in No. 108. A dependable weekend that grades out a B+.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. They will regret leaving safety for another day if the season turns on it. The Giants paired the rookies with proven help, Jessie Bates III leading the way.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with interior defensive lineman chief among the fixes.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
