The Commanders won the night they stopped Tuten from sliding. Grade: B. Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Commanders were there to profit. Bhayshul Tuten, the No. 165 name on the board, should have been long gone before pick 238. The bottom line is a respectable B.
Griffith has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped wide receiver, which is a strange place to end up.
The Commanders paired the rookies with proven help, Tee Higgins leading the way. Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
