The Bears worked the phones like thieves and earned a B+. The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Bears reached some 115 spots for Emery Jones Jr., and value like that does not grow back. It does the job without flash, and the B+ reflects it.
They banked enough surplus on Judkins to cover a lot of smaller sins. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck.
The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
