Quarterback Rankings 2022 NFL Draft

QUARTERBACK RANKINGS 2022 NFL DRAFT

For a few years prior to the 2021 draft, it was always expected that Trevor  Lawrence would be the number 1 pick in the QB class. This year’s class is very different with no slam dunk best prospect, although there are five prospects who could be taken in the first round.

The tentative presumptive top prospect was Oklahoma’s  Spencer  Rattler, who despite lacking size managed in 2020 to put up great stats. He'd been compared to Kyler Murray and Baker Mayfield, but Rattler has suffered a major fall from grace. He was benched by Oklahoma Coach Lincoln Riley for the freshman Caleb Williams and has failed to win back his starting role. With this in mind, there are doubts about whether he may even declare for the 2022 draft at all.

Matt Corral from Ole Miss has stepped up where Rattler has failed. He has crazy arm talent, as well as being a freakish athlete. He’s risen to the top despite an injury-ridden performance against LSU in Week 8. If Corral can continue the early pace he's set, he has a shot of going number 1 overall.

Sam Howell the top signal-caller for North Carolina is the player most likely to displace Corral as the top prospect in the class. This 6 foot 2 225 pound player possesses a strong arm, is a powerful runner, and has decent dual-threat qualities  - he has put some spectacular stats, passing for 7227 yds over the last two seasons.

After the top two, there is a slight drop-off consisting of three players,  the super athletic Malik Willis, the traditional pro-style QB from USC Kedon Slovis, and Desmond Ridder the only top prospect with ideal size (6 foot 4) for the position.
