Originally choosing to opt out from the 2020 season, Wyatt changed his mind when the Big 10 went back to play. The Buckeye's star stands at 6'4" and over 310 pounds and is an imposing presence on the interior of the line. A true mauler he is expected to operate as a plug-and-play option at right guard more or less straight away. A bit of trivia, he is the son of actor Duane Davis - who appeared in a number of sporting roles including as star Alvin Mack in the 1993 film, The Program - and his grandfather is Willie Davis, the Hall of Fame defensive end for the Packers.

Strengths

  • A better than expected athlete who steadily improved in pass protection. Stout at the point of attack and maintains a wide base.
  • A smooth mover and covers a lot of ground, working hard to mirror rushers; agile and keeps his feet moving.
  • Anchors against larger defenders in the middle; resets hands to maintain distance. Athletic enough to help on nose tackle then pick up a twist or late blitzer. Mirrors quick interior rushers. Looks to help the center when uncovered.
  • Best asset is his strength and disposition as a run blocker. Gives a strong initial punch. Plays with good leverage bends at the knees and sees what he's hitting, showing the ability to roll his hips into the defender and drive him off the line of scrimmage.
  • Eases out of his stance and has a finisher's mentality. Bends his knees, has above-average mobility and keeps his base square to adjust to counters.
  • Good natural athleticism, knee bend and fluid lateral movement to mirror college defensive ends.

Weaknesses

  • Bends at the waist and loses leverage, also has a tendency to lunge and lean too far when flustered.
  • Can be beat off the edge coming out of his stance lunging to reach speedy wide rushers.
  • Limits ability to mirror by leaning forward with his upper body and neglecting his lower body. Not strong enough and remains rough around the edges.

A smart and athletic player with the aggression that scouts and coaches love. As the top-rated interior offensive linesman, Wyatt will be hoping to hear his name called on day 1 of the draft.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
