Drafted: 2021: ROUND: 3 - Pick Number: 83 (CAR)
Tremble made his name as a run blocker for the Irish, most notably earning the number one blocking grade amongst all FBS tight ends according to Pro Football Focus.
Tommy Tremble started 2020 as a key part of the Notre Dame passing attack. In his first two games, he caught eight passes for 104 yards. Over his next eight games, he would catch a total of 11 passes for 114 yards.
NFL teams will love this about him in the draft process. He possesses a natural talent that easily can translate to the NFL level despite serving as mostly a backup TE at Notre Dame.
Strengths
- Can effectively place a block on a pass rusher before starting route by sinking fluid hips and delivering a punch.
- A lean athlete with obvious upside. Soft hands. Flashes the ability to make the outstanding catch.
- Tremble wasn’t relied on heavily in this area, with only 19 receptions on the season. He certainly has the speed to stretch a defense with his reported 4.63 speed.
- Looks to get involved downfield and will block multiple defenders on a single play when he can. Understands his role as a blocker.
Weaknesses
- Lacks size and has a lean build, short stature and average length.
- A glider, moves faster than he appears but lacks the top-end speed to be a real threat down the seam.
- Struggles tracking the ball over his shoulder.
- Inconsistent with his release off the line of scrimmage.
- Tight hips, limited long speed and isn't naturally explosive. Not an in-line blocker with a weak base.
Tremble has shown enough to be worth a fourth round pick in the Draft and can be a productive player if he ends up in the right offense.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank
in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance.
For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.
*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
