Scouting Report: Strengths
- Has the functional strength to hold up against the bull rush, and Sharp shows exceptionally quick and precise hands.
- Shows a good feel for combo blocks, and he displays good quickness and flexibility when moving to the second level, capable of sealing the back side on reach blocks
- Outstanding in the screen game, both because of his instincts to deceive defenders and mobility to get out in front and land blocks.
- Adequate foot quickness to remain outside. Can get to the second level with surprising agility when adjusting to moving defenders. Underrated athleticism, agility, balance, and even straight-line speed to contribute.
- Sharp thrives on physicality, often out-grappling bigger defensive linemen and winning in the phone booth with tenacity and upper-body strength.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- As a pass protector, Sharp gets caught reaching and lunging when matched up against quickness.
- Has a bad habit of panicking on reach blocks, lunging, and grabbing rather than trusting his athleticism to get him in position, which could lead to frequent flags for holding.
- Attacks when necessary, though he won't consistently dominate and can lose balance overextending.
- Pass protection is a potential issue; while he has a good initial punch and is fairly good with his hands, he’s heavy-footed and tends to stop his feet when he makes contact. He’ll struggle to mirror against quickness.
