Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Grant can flip his hips and run, with good top-end speed and the length to make plays on the ball.
  • Can track the ball downfield and gets his head around when playing in a trail position, and Grant shows excellent ball skills when breaking on a route. He’s a plus tackler in run support as well.
  • Has quick feet and excellent change-of-direction ability, capable of mirroring quickness underneath.
  • Has a powerful punch at the line of scrimmage and can deliver it while moving his feet. Grant also has the powerful core and hips to stick to a receiver downfield and escort him to the sideline
  • A coordinated athlete with good footwork and balance. A heady cover player with above-average · feel and anticipation in space.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • Tends to play conservatively and give too much cushion when playing off.
  • Susceptible to double moves, though that could be coached out of him. But the problem is that Grant doesn’t track the ball downfield, and he seems to lack the ball skills to break up plays.
  • The majority of the time last season, he was able to physically overwhelm opposing receivers early in the down, a scenario that won’t play out as often against NFL receivers.
  • Neither his size nor his straight-line speed would be considered elite

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
