Moore has blossomed at Ole Miss in 2020 following the arrival of coach Lane Kiffin and he will carry that positive momentum into the draft and likely as high as the second round.
Elijah Moore established himself as one of the most exciting receivers. Through eight games, Ole Miss’s featured receiver racked up 1,193 receiving yards, nearly 150 per game, and eight touchdowns. Moore’s success can be attributed to his remarkable change of direction ability, fluidity, and flexibility. He also has an impressive burst and good speed.
He is a talented all-around route runner, Moore excels on double moves; he forces cornerbacks to flip their hips early and separates with a sharp change of direction. At the catch point, Moore has decent hands. After the catch, he is often a highlight reel playmaker.
Due to some physical limitations (he is only 185 lbs), he projects as a slot receiver but he could be a great one with his combination of speed, athleticism, and explosiveness - mixed with good hands, great route running, and the ability to gain yards after the catch. He may never be a #1 receiver but he has the chance to be an important weapon on teams that know how to use him effectively.
