Draft Profile: Bio
Charles Grant emerged from Churchland High School in Virginia as an unranked recruit, where he excelled as both an offensive lineman and All-State wrestler. At William & Mary, he transformed into one of FCS football's premier offensive tackles, starting 43 games primarily at left tackle while logging 2,538 offensive snaps across his collegiate career.

Grant's collegiate trajectory peaked during his junior season in 2023, earning First Team All-America honors from AFCA and Second Team selections from multiple outlets including the Associated Press. His sophomore campaign was equally impressive, landing on the HERO Sports All-America Sophomore Team while helping William & Mary rank third nationally in rushing at 265.8 yards per game.

Over his final two seasons, Grant established himself as an elite pass protector, allowing just one sack on 334 pass-blocking snaps in 2023 and zero sacks throughout his entire sophomore year. He consistently graded above 90 percent in seven games during his junior season, finishing with 40 pancake blocks while anchoring an offensive line that ranked 13th nationally in rushing (196.9 yards per game).
Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Plus lateral quickness and range in pass sets, demonstrating smooth kick-slide technique with efficient movement patterns.
  • Natural knee bender who plays with consistent pad level and leverage through contact phases.
  • Heavy hands with snap-through power, creating immediate displacement on initial contact.
  • Exceptional mirror ability in space, maintaining proper positioning against counters and speed moves.
  • Processes stunts and twists quickly, showing advanced pattern recognition against defensive fronts.
  • Plus hip mobility and ankle flexion allow clean redirection against inside counter moves.
  • Dominant play finisher who drives through the whistle and seeks work in space.
  • Elite competitive toughness with plus play strength despite size limitations.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • Below-threshold mass and length measurements raise concerns against NFL power rushers.
  • Limited exposure against elite competition leaves questions about ceiling projection.
  • Contact balance wavers against bull rush moves, showing anchor limitations.
  • Hip tightness appears when forced to redirect against explosive edge bend.
  • Independent hand usage needs refinement, particularly against long-armed defenders.
Scouting Report: Summary
The technical refinement and natural movement skills suggest immediate scheme versatility, with particular value in zone-based running attacks where his mobility and second-level targeting shine. Despite plus athletic traits, the anchor concerns and frame limitations require development time.

Physical limitations and small-school competition suggest a developmental timeline before competing for starting duties. Initial NFL impact projects primarily in pass protection situations where his mirror ability and efficient movement patterns translate immediately.

Scheme-specific value lies in outside zone concepts where his mobility and technique maximize impact. Day three selection with swing tackle potential and eventual starting upside in movement-based schemes after proper physical development.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
