Alex Forsyth from West Linn High School was rated a 4-star recruit by ESPN and handed a 3-star grade by 247 Sports. Following high school, Forsyth opted to join Oregon. In 2018 as a freshman Forsyth saw action in 6 games and played a total of 44 snaps for the Ducks. He allowed no QB hurries, no QB hits, and no sacks while playing the majority of his snaps at left guard, and the rest at tight tackle.
As a sophomore in 2019 he played in 6 games and a total of 47 snaps. He conceded just 2 QB hurries, no QB hits, and no sacks while playing the majority of his snaps at left guard, and the rest at right guard.
In 2020 as a junior Forsyth saw action in 7 games and totaled 440 snaps. He gave up just 2 QB hurries, one QB hit, and one sack while playing at center.
In 2021 as a senior Forsyth saw action in 10 games and played a total of 647 snaps for the Ducks. He allowed just 3 QB hurries, 2 QB hits, and 2 sacks while playing at center.

Scouting Report: Strengths
- Has good footwork and technique. Balanced and agile pass protection set with excellent hand placement.
- Quick out of his stance with the footwork to be effective in front of screens. Willing to get out in front of ballcarriers to take out defensive backs and linebackers.
- In the run game, Forsyth explodes off the line of scrimmage and consistently gets out to the second level to do damage.
- Has a stout build with a strong, flexible core. He’s a rock in the middle of the line as a pass protector, with the heavy hands and strong grip to hold his own against bigger defensive tackles.
- In the run game, he shows good burst off the line of scrimmage, with the ability to win at the point of attack. Forsyth has enough speed and athleticism to move to the second level and land blocks.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Has a bad habit of panicking on reach blocks, lunging, and grabbing rather than trusting his athleticism to get him in position, which could lead to frequent flags for holding.
- Is more of a phone-booth blocker who has limited range. He’s also going to be somewhat limited as a pass protector, especially when it comes to mirroring against quickness.
- Often gets too high in his sets, sacrificing some of his power, and Forsyth doesn’t show great coordination between his upper and lower body when sliding back in pass protection.
- Has enough power in the run game, but at times he seems to lack a mean streak.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank
in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance.
For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.
*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
