When a board-topper like Max Melton slides to the 123rd pick, you do not overthink it, and the Texans did not. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

They are betting Watson proves the room right and everyone else wrong. Spending an early pick on cornerback with edge rusher, offensive lineman and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to.
