The Cowboys answered their biggest question with Sanders. Grade: D+.

They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Tommy Mellott, 110 picks early at the Round 7 slot. The process wobbled, and the D+ is where it lands.

That is a running back worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close.

They have staked the next five years on Shedeur Sanders, which is the only story that really matters here.

A rough weekend that leaves the roster with more questions than answers.
