Start where it matters. The Bears took Drake Maye to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one. For now it grades a C-, with the swing picks left to settle the rest.

They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman.

The Smith pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with interior defensive lineman, running back and other spots still on the board. Keion White gives the group a proven body among the projects.

If Drake Maye and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
