The Packers let McCoy fall into their laps, and walked away with a B+. You build a draft on nights like this. Bru McCoy had no business being available in the Round 6 slot, and the Packers did the only sane thing and turned in the card. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B+.
Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. The Packers indulged a want in Gray while a need in quarterback, tight end and other spots stayed open.
That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. If Cohen pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
