Draft Grade — Giants
Overall

ValueB-

FutureB-
The Giants fleeced the room on the phones and earned a B+. When the story of this class is written, it opens with Oluwafemi Oladejo at slot 105, a reach of 36 spots that the board flatly disagrees with. No fireworks, but a solid B+.
The phones were where this weekend was really won. That safety hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
The Giants clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before. Job largely done: interior defensive lineman settled and 8 of 9 of the wish list covered.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but safety.
Pick Analysis
Pick3
Rnd1
Travis Hunter
In slot 3 they get a lockdown presence outside at fair value.
Pick65
Rnd3
Ozzy Trapilo
Value said wait; Ozzy Trapilo in pick No. 65 says they were not listening. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick85
Rnd3
Darius Alexander
They jumped the gun on Darius Alexander, taking him earlier than his grade liked. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick99
Rnd3
Kyle McCord
A real head-scratcher, Kyle McCord in Round 3, Pick 35 is miles ahead of his ranking. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick105
Rnd4
Oluwafemi Oladejo
They talked themselves into Oluwafemi Oladejo at the Round 4 slot, and the board did not agree. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick154
Rnd5
Jonah Monheim
A wild overpay on Jonah Monheim in No. 154, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick197
Rnd6
Oronde Gadsden II
They did well to land Oronde Gadsden II in pick No. 197, just ahead of his grade. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick208
Rnd6
Isaac TeSlaa
Isaac TeSlaa at the 208th pick is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick219
Rnd7
Kyle Monangai
Kyle Monangai in pick 219 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. It fills a real need, too.
Pick246
Rnd7
Logan Parr
Logan Parr at No. 246 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
