The Marshel Martin selection is the head-turner. The Broncos reached 99 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered.

They have staked the next five years on Jayden Daniels, which is the only story that really matters here. The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Smith. With interior defensive lineman, edge rusher and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on cornerback is the choice that costs them.

The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
