The rest of the league had time to spare on Phillip Webb; the Panthers did not wait, grabbing him 123 spots ahead at the 201st overall pick.

They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. They banked enough surplus on Pierce to cover a lot of smaller sins. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped linebacker, which is a strange place to end up.

The Panthers paired the rookies with proven help, Germaine Pratt leading the way.

Bottom line, they did the job about as well as it can be done.
