Nobody dealt better than the Chiefs this weekend: B+.

The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Chiefs reached some 32 spots for Matthew Jones, and value like that does not grow back. Call it a sensible B+, earned the boring way.

They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. With quarterback, interior defensive lineman and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on OLB-EDGE is the choice that costs them.

The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
