Draft Grade — Broncos
Overall B-
ValueC NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
A passer of the future in Nix, and a B-, for the Broncos.

After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Broncos committed. Bo Nix is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline.

Rouse has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. Leaving linebacker unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

On the needs board they went 4 of 8, with edge rusher the one that mattered most. The offense got the lion's share of the attention.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but linebacker.

Pick Analysis
Pick12 Rnd1 Bo Nix
In slot 12 they get a long-term answer under center, reach and all. A real need, handled.
Pick76 Rnd3 Cooper Beebe
By-the-book stuff, Cooper Beebe at pick 76 squarely in line with his ranking. The roster fit checks out.
Pick114 Rnd4 Ben Sinnott
Ben Sinnott at Round 4, Pick 14 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick122 Rnd4 Justin Eboigbe
Justin Eboigbe in the Round 4 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick146 Rnd5 Khristian Boyd
A premium they did not need to pay, Khristian Boyd a notch or two before his time. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick230 Rnd7 Matthew Jones
They talked themselves into Matthew Jones at No. 230, and the board did not agree. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick237 Rnd7 Walter Rouse
This one needs a full-page explanation: Walter Rouse in the 237th overall pick, miles early. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
