A costly weekend of dealing drags the Cowboys to a D-.

The rest of the league had time to spare on Caden Curry; the Cowboys did not wait, grabbing him 37 spots ahead at pick No. 94. It grades a D-, and the process earned it.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. That is an interior defensive lineman worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.

On the needs board they went 6 of 8, with wide receiver the one that mattered most.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, quarterback very much included.
