If confidence were a draft strategy, the Lions would have aced it. Jalen McLeod at No. 102 is 80 spots clear of where he belonged. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Brown. For all the activity, cornerback went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but cornerback.
