The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Patriots reached some 196 spots for Keanu Koht, and value like that does not grow back. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. That is a quarterback worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want.

Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
