Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B-
ValueB NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
The Packers let Worthy fall and pounced. Final grade: B-.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Xavier Worthy tumbling to the Packers in the Round 3 slot is a gift they did not have to think twice about. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

They will need Richardson to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.

Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick25 Rnd1 Kamari Lassiter
In the 25th overall pick they get an island corner at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick41 Rnd2 Byron Murphy II
By-the-book stuff, Byron Murphy II at Round 2, Pick 9 squarely in line with his ranking. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick57 Rnd2 Jackson Powers-Johnson
Fair-plus on Jackson Powers-Johnson, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick88 Rnd3 Xavier Worthy
A wide receiver of that caliber at pick No. 88 is the definition of value, full stop. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick91 Rnd3 Bucky Irving
No drama and no debate, Bucky Irving went about where he belonged in the Round 3 slot. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick125 Rnd4 Cedric Gray
Cedric Gray at slot 125 is a conviction pick that outran the value. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick135 Rnd4 Malik Mustapha
Malik Mustapha at No. 135 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick203 Rnd6 Chau Smith-Wade
Chau Smith-Wade at the 203rd pick is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick217 Rnd6 Demani Richardson
Value said wait; Demani Richardson in Round 6, Pick 42 says they were not listening. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
Pick219 Rnd6 Jawhar Jordan
Jawhar Jordan slipping to the 219th pick is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick246 Rnd7 Eric Gentry
No edge and no loss on Eric Gentry in slot 246; it is a wash and a sensible one. A want dressed up as a pick, at a spot they had covered.
