The real work happened on the phones. The Bears fleeced their trade partners, turning their picks into a noticeably bigger pile than they started with.

The cornerback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Every board in the league had Holker lower, and that gap is the story. The Rob Havenstein deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.

The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
