The Bears left with their quarterback, and a D- to match.

The phones were a trap the Bears kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal. Too much went sideways, and the D- is the honest tally.

So much rides on Caleb Williams that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him. With interior defensive lineman, running back and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on DT-EDGE is the choice that costs them. The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

The Kinchens value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. The Beebe reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.

In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.
