Nobody had Nathan Pickering this high, and it is not close. The Chargers reached 116 spots to get him at the 253rd pick. The bottom line is a respectable B.

They banked enough surplus on Jackson to cover a lot of smaller sins. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. The tight end spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
