A masterclass at the trade table lands the Bears a B+.

Nobody else had Ainias Smith anywhere near the Round 4 slot. The Bears did, by 53 spots, and that gap is the whole story.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. The Bears indulged a want in Williams while a need in interior defensive lineman, cornerback and other spots stayed open. A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
