FutureB
The Eagles kept it disciplined and banked a B+. The one they had to fix is still broken. The Eagles left quarterback untouched, and that omission hangs over an otherwise reasonable haul.
On value alone, Thomas Jr. makes the weekend a net positive. Every board in the league had Sanders lower, and that gap is the story.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick Analysis
Pick51
Rnd2
Jeremiah Trotter Jr.
A clean, defensible pick in pick No. 51 with a little surplus value in Jeremiah Trotter Jr.. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick64
Rnd2
Quinyon Mitchell
Quinyon Mitchell slipping to the 64th pick is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick68
Rnd3
Brian Thomas Jr.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Brian Thomas Jr. at No. 68 is the proof. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick82
Rnd3
Rod Moore
A straight-up fair deal on Rod Moore at the Round 3 slot, value and slot in agreement. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick96
Rnd3
Christian Haynes
Christian Haynes at pick 96 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the offensive lineman. The roster fit checks out.
Pick97
Rnd3
Adisa Isaac
By-the-book stuff, Adisa Isaac at Round 3, Pick 34 squarely in line with his ranking. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick104
Rnd4
Matt Goncalves
Matt Goncalves at the 104th overall pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick132
Rnd4
Gabriel Murphy
Gabriel Murphy at slot 132 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick137
Rnd5
Justin Rogers
A tidy little value on Justin Rogers in the Round 5 slot, a step better than break-even. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick147
Rnd5
Nehemiah Pritchett
Nehemiah Pritchett in Round 5, Pick 11 lands just on the right side of the ledger. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick149
Rnd5
Mike Sainristil
Mike Sainristil at the 149th overall pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick160
Rnd5
Ainias Smith
A market-rate wide receiver, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Ainias Smith. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick172
Rnd5
T.J. Sanders
A conviction pick on T.J. Sanders at pick No. 172 that the board grades a round light. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
