The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Giants watched Raheim Sanders slide 73 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

They have staked the next five years on Cam Ward, which is the only story that really matters here. That safety hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Reaching for Phillips left real value on the table behind him. Job largely done: interior defensive lineman settled and 5 of 9 of the wish list covered.

Good work on the whole, with safety the one box left unchecked.
