No fireworks, just a tidy B+ for the Cowboys.

If confidence were a draft strategy, the Cowboys would have aced it. Phil Mafah at the Round 5 slot is 47 spots clear of where he belonged. The bottom line is a respectable B+.

The White III value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. A whole weekend of picks and cornerback is somehow still a want.

The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
