You can usually follow a front office's logic. This one is harder. The Steelers spent the 84th pick on Maason Smith while quarterback, interior defensive lineman and other spots sat unaddressed.

The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Watson falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.

The Gray reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
