Draft Grade — Falcons
Overall A-
ValueB NeedB TradesA+ FutureA-
The Falcons let Arroyo fall into their laps, and walked away with a A-.

When a board-topper like Elijah Arroyo slides to Round 4, Pick 7, you do not overthink it, and the Falcons did not. Little to argue with here, and the A- says so.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it.

The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own. Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

Add it up and this is about as clean as a draft weekend gets.

Pick Analysis
Pick44 Rnd2 Jihaad Campbell
Jihaad Campbell at the Round 2 slot is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick46 Rnd2 JT Tuimoloau
A straight-up fair deal on JT Tuimoloau at slot 46, value and slot in agreement. It fills a real need, too.
Pick62 Rnd2 Marcus Mbow
Marcus Mbow in No. 62 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick76 Rnd3 Tre Harris
The board fumbled Tre Harris all the way to the 76th overall pick, and they scooped it up. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick108 Rnd4 Elijah Arroyo
Somehow Elijah Arroyo was still sitting there in the 108th pick, and they pounced on premier tight end value. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick117 Rnd4 Anthony Belton
No edge and no loss on Anthony Belton in pick No. 117; it is a wash and a sensible one. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick118 Rnd4 Emery Jones Jr.
They took Emery Jones Jr. at par in Round 4, Pick 17, which is nothing to complain about. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick244 Rnd7 Jabbar Muhammad
They let Jabbar Muhammad come to them and pounced at pick 244. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
