Call it larceny. Jay Higgins sat on the board until the 214th overall pick, and the Browns did not need to be asked twice.

Every board in the league had Campbell lower, and that gap is the story. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

The trades cost them a sliver of value they did not need to spend. The future picks help the war chest more than the win-now roster.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
