Draft Grade — Bears

The Bears did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B. For all the boxes ticked, the Bears skipped the loudest one: running back is exactly as bare as it was.
The Josephs value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
Pick Analysis
Pick25
Rnd1
Kayden McDonald
In No. 25 they get a run-stuffing presence up front. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick57
Rnd2
Joshua Josephs
Joshua Josephs slid further than he should have, and the 57th pick is lovely value for the edge rusher. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick60
Rnd2
Gennings Dunker
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Gennings Dunker in Round 2, Pick 28. A need, and now a little less of one.
