Draft Grade — Browns
Overall

FutureB-
The Browns kept it disciplined and banked a B. For all the names on the card, the loudest question went unanswered. The Browns walked out of the weekend still thin at quarterback, a hole that has a way of deciding seasons.
Landing Muhammad that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick2
Rnd1
Abdul Carter
In Round 1, Pick 2 they get a premier pass rusher. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick33
Rnd2
Nick Emmanwori
Nick Emmanwori at pick 33 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick67
Rnd3
TreVeyon Henderson
A quiet steal in the 67th pick: TreVeyon Henderson for less than the market said. The roster fit checks out.
Pick94
Rnd3
Ozzy Trapilo
The board had Ozzy Trapilo higher than pick No. 94, and the offensive lineman fell to them anyway. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick104
Rnd4
Zy Alexander
Zy Alexander in the 104th overall pick is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick179
Rnd6
Dont'e Thornton Jr.
A market-rate wide receiver, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Dont'e Thornton Jr.. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick192
Rnd6
Connor Colby
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Connor Colby at the Round 6 slot is the proof. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick200
Rnd6
Woody Marks
A tidy little value on Woody Marks in slot 200, a step better than break-even. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick216
Rnd6
Luke Lachey
Luke Lachey in Round 6, Pick 40 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. It fills a real need, too.
Pick255
Rnd7
Jabbar Muhammad
Jabbar Muhammad at pick No. 255 is money in the bank, a cornerback taken below his worth. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
