Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall B
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
The Seahawks robbed the room for Legette. Final grade: B.

You build a draft on nights like this. Xavier Legette had no business being available in pick No. 81, and the Seahawks did the only sane thing and turned in the card.

Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They are betting Watson proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick16 Rnd1 Troy Fautanu
In the 16th overall pick they get a building block for the line. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick81 Rnd3 Xavier Legette
Xavier Legette in Round 3, Pick 17 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick102 Rnd4 Christian Mahogany
Fair-plus on Christian Mahogany, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick126 Rnd4 Michael Pratt
A reach for Michael Pratt in pick No. 126; a little patience would have been rewarded. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick169 Rnd5 Kitan Oladapo
Nice patience on Kitan Oladapo, who had no business lasting to pick 169. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick179 Rnd6 Tip Reiman
No drama and no debate, Tip Reiman went about where he belonged in the Round 6 slot. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick192 Rnd6 Nathaniel Watson
Nathaniel Watson at No. 192 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick235 Rnd7 Justin Rogers
They robbed the room for Justin Rogers here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
