Nobody else had Dayon Hayes anywhere near Round 6, Pick 14. The Rams did, by 121 spots, and that gap is the whole story. A mixed bag that lands at C+.

They banked enough surplus on Cornelius to cover a lot of smaller sins. Leaving wide receiver unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.

If Nick Emmanwori and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
